While iHuman was born from a desire to leave a legacy, the project truly took shape when iHuman was contacted by Mushir Hussain, an extraordinary human being , who expressed urgency in creating sustainable support for people who reached Sydney from Gaza and other parts of Palestine during one of the worst humanitarian crises of this time.
He called and met with iHuman team at least three times in one week and finally called on Wednesday very excitedly to tell Youssef Hassan that he has figured out and planned what he wants to do and would meet with the team on Saturday. His idea had something to do with IT and it would provide sustainable support to the people of Gaza in Sydney, which was all that we knew at that point. On Friday, we received news of his passing away suddenly.
It shook everyone. It was hard to believe until we realized it was a compass to our path for what "Leaving the Legacy" was truly going to mean at iHuman.
Friend after friend, family after family reached out to us, to ask how ad in what capacity this project could be started and sustained. Together, we designed the concept that may (or may not) have been what Mushir Hussain wanted to do, but it will be one that serves as his Legacy and of those to follow.
